Accuracy in tracking is key to success when it comes to Nutrition goals.

From time-to-time some coaches come across Accuracy percentages for reporting that don’t quite match what they had in their head, based on the member’s numbers in front of them.

As your members track their daily Nutrition, you’ll be able to review how this compares to the goals you’ve set them in the Portal.

Goals vs Actual Tracking

Imagine tracking perfectly for 5 days then not tracking the weekend, you might expect a decent result, but actually the highest you can get from that scenario is 70% accuracy.

This is because empty days significantly affect accuracy, not just the streak counter. For each empty day in a week, the accuracy will reduce by ~14.3% (100/7 days). This is super important to be clear on when looking at the numbers.

A weeks Accuracy is the total percentage for each day as tracked, then divided by the 7 days to get the average %

Trying to catch up will actually make it worse…

The accuracy in the report cannot exceed 100% – unlike in the Member App where the bar chart shows the goal marker then extends beyond if surplus is tracked.

If a member goes beyond the assigned macros, let’s say by 12%, then the excess will be deducted from 100%. i.e. it will be 88%.

For example a member adding more carbs today because they ate less yesterday isn’t just non-accountable tracking in practice - it highlights the accuracy of Keystone’s system. Reporting has been designed to pin-point where you can coach members better on their eating habits.

Therefore in this example tracking like this will actually decrease the accuracy it in two ways

  1. They ate less yesterday (inaccurate)
  2. Decided to exceed the assigned macros today (still inaccurate!)
